Filmport was founded in 1998 by a coalition of production, entertainment management and technology professionals who saw the enormous potential of the Internet to enhance efficiency and cut costs in film and television production.

MANAGEMENT TEAM

AHIN SAVARA - President / Chief Executive Officer / Founder
A graduate of Trinity College, with a BS in Computer Science, Ahin has been a recognized expert in Internet technologies and the future of entertainment. Interviewed by publications including the Wall Street Journal, BBC News, Investor's Business Daily, Wharton Journal, J-wave radio (Japan) and The Los Angeles Times as well as being invited to speak at many conferences and universities. Ahin was Executive Vice President and a Co-Founder of the seminal Internet Underground Music Archive (IUMA) in 1994. IUMA was the Internet's first high-fidelity music Web site, hosting thousands of authorized MP2 recordings before MP3 or the Web were popularized. IUMA was acquired by Emusic, now Vivendi Universal. (NYSE:V). Was also part of Gemkey.com, a Highland Capital funded Jewelry B2B start-up as Director, Business Development. Has completed one year of Harvard Business School before taking time off to pursue Filmport. Prior to HBS, Ahin was the Entertainment Evangelist for Fujitsu of America.

JOHN GOODNER - Chief Technical Officer / Founder reel
John is no stranger to Internet technology and the world of film having founded JGFilms.com, the world's first Internet movie studio, in 1995. John is also co-founder and Vice President of HiP Design, a successful high-end web design firm. John was also head of web development at Think New Ideas where he won the One Show Award for Excellence in New Media Advertising for NC.Oracle.com in 1997. Prior to HiP Design, John worked with a major Screenwriter and Director at Warner Brothers Studios. He received his Fine Arts degree in Film and Visual Media from the State University of New York at Purchase.

JOHN SYRJAMAKI - Senior Vice President / Chief Research Officer
John was the former Director of Physical Production at USC Cinema School. He is also an alumnus of the School having received his MFA in 1975. He joined the Director's Guild of America in 1979 and as an Assistant Director worked on such projects as The Blues Brothers, Return of the Jedi and Northern Exposure during a career spanning almost twenty years in the industry.

DAVID MICCIULLA - Executive Vice President / Chief Operating Officer
David started his career with Arthur Andersen & Company where he provided tax, systems and accounting services for the closely held divisions clients. David then went on to hold a series of senior level accounting and CFO positions. His tenure in the Production and Post Production industry started in 1987 where he worked as the CFO for the Editel companies in NY and LA. Mr. Micciulla went on to the management and operations side of the business ultimately named CEO of Unitel Video a nationwide company of seven divisions. David after being a consultant to Virgin then started up his own company with Richard Branson, Virgin Digital Studios.

DANIEL CORRIERI - Senior Vice President, Product Development / Account Management / Founder
Working as an Associate Manager and Agent at International Creative Management, Industry Entertainment, and Don Buchwald & Associates, Dan has accumulated years of entertainment industry experience. In addition to his Agent duties Dan managed beta tests of cutting edge casting management software. Prior to his agency and management experience, Dan worked as a key set production associate on feature films and television. Having worked in diverse spectrums of the Industry, Dan understands cultivating strategic relationships and the importance of branding Filmport. Dan received his BS in Producing for Electronic Media from S.I. Newhouse School of Communications at Syracuse University.

VALERIE M. EVERING - Senior Vice President, International Operations
Valerie has a B.A. in International Relations from Johns Hopkins University and a Masters Certificate from Johns Hopkins SAIS Program in Nanjing, China. After completing one year of graduate studies in Nanjing she moved to Shanghai and worked in film production for Chinese and foreign production companies on various productions for the BBC, Budweiser, Unilever, and Volkswagen. Her documentary and television commercial experiences in China have broadened her knowledge and skills in many areas of production from translator, to AD, casting and AP work. Prior to leaving for China she worked as an analyst with Merrill Lynch & Co.

ASHWIN KOCHIYL PHILIPS - Senior Vice President, Technical Planning
Ashwin studied Computer Science and Electrical Engineering at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. As an inventor, entrepreneur, and technology visionary, Ashwin has worked with numerous firms including IBM, AMS, Bell Labs, and NYNEX as well as founding startups such as Lydstrom, ImagiLab, and 451 Studios. Nominated for the Smithsonian award for innovation in Media, Arts, and Entertainment for his groundbreaking work as the creator of the Lydstrom SongBank, the first Personal Audio Recorder/Music Server, Ashwin has a keen insight into entertainment technology and building startups from concept to market leader.

STEFFEN NESPER - VP, Technology and Software Development
Steffen has been a leader in developing software and mobility solutions for quite some time. He has consulted for many firms in all aspects of Technology. He started his own business in 1999 as a consultant in networking, internet technology and database programming and design. A graduate of the University of Applied Sciences, Constance, Germany with a degree in Computer Science and Economics.

ROGER PARK - VP, Media Relations
Roger has worked as the Web Editor for Emap/USA Outdoor Group and was responsible for editing articles for several publications. Prior to Emap/USA, Roger worked as a Development Executive for television and feature production companies. Roger has extensive knowledge and experience with Internet and print journalism; his articles have appeared in Wired, LA Weekly, Launch and various other publications. Before joining Filmport, he has held various writing and editorial positions. Roger received his BA in Writing from Trinity College, Hartford, Connecticut.
